Confirmation at Resurrection is a two-year program. Typically, students begin confirmation as 7th graders. Students complete their instruction during the fall of their 9th grade year, culminating with Confirmation Sunday in late October.
Confirmation ministry builds on the faith foundation created by parents, other ministries, and all who have played key roles in each child's Christian education.
Our goal is to teach students about Jesus Christ, the Bible, and our basic Lutheran beliefs, so in the end, each student can express his or her faith in Christ publicly, seek to live a Christian life, and enjoy participation in each church community of which he or she may worship and serve in the future.
Each Wednesday class includes a large-group teaching time followed by small-group discussions and activities.
